Derivation
The cooling and antispasmodic character of peppermint essential oil is particularly suitable for headaches. It also has a strong analgesic effect and can quickly counteract tension headaches, for example.
Peppermint essential oil
Peppermint essential oil is associated with the element wood. It has a strong cooling effect. The fragrance is green, herbaceous and minty. The oil is assigned to the top note and evaporates within a few minutes.
Different fatty oils can be used as a carrier oil for diluting the essential oil, depending on the skin type. We use the carrier oil wheat germ oil in this recipe. You can also find alternative carrier oils in the → Aromatrix.
Less pain and more concentration with peppermint essential oil
Peppermint essential oil is particularly well suited to relieve stinging tension headaches. It is also extremely easy to use and quick to prepare.
Recipe
- 2-4 drops of peppermint
- 1 tbsp wheat germ oil
Application
Add 2-4 drops of peppermint essential oil to 1 tablespoon of wheat germ oil as a carrier oil. Applying peppermint oil directly to the skin is not recommended as it can cause skin irritation. Mix both oils in your hand and dab on the back of your neck, temples and forehead.
